Create an account, start the 7-day free trial without a card, manage your subscription and invoices — and understand why the OFM plan is separate from your AI provider's plan.
Open Free Max is a paid product with a free trial. This page covers the account itself — what it is for, and what it is not.
The trial
Create an account from the app: first name, last name, email, password, and acceptance of the terms. The trial runs for 7 days with no card required. The account panel shows the days remaining and the exact expiry date.
Sign-in also supports a one-time code by email if you prefer not to type a password, and a standard password reset flow if you forget it.
After the trial
When the trial ends, the app offers to continue on OFM Pro. Everything about the subscription is managed in the Account panel:

The panel states the current status plainly: free trial, active subscription with the next payment date, cancellation scheduled with the end-of-access date, payment failed, or no active subscription.
Two subscriptions, not one
This is the point people ask about most, so it is worth being blunt:
- The OFM plan pays for the command center — the multi-agent dashboard, the rules engine, memory, usage tracking.
- Your provider plan (Claude, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, Moonshot) pays for the intelligence.
OFM never resells model access and never proxies your prompts. It launches your CLI, signed in with your account, in interactive mode on your subscription — which is exactly why there is no per-token bill on the OFM side. See Subscription vs API.
Profile and deletion
The Account panel also handles the profile itself: edit your name, change your password, log out — and delete your account, which is irreversible and removes your data.
Deleting the account does not touch anything local: your projects, transcripts, memory and settings are files on your machine and stay there.

- Do I need a credit card for the trial?
- No. The 7-day trial starts with no card. You are only asked for payment details if you decide to continue afterwards.
- Does the OFM subscription include AI usage?
- No. Open Free Max is the command center; the agents run on your own provider subscription (Claude, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, Moonshot). The two bills are separate and independent.
